Day 1
Meals Lunch & Dinner

Departing Adelaide at 6.15am we make our way to Cape Jervis and transfer to the Sealink Ferry. The journey across the Backstairs Passage is aboard a modern and comfortable ferry.
Once on the island we first make our way to the very special Seal Bay Conservation Park. Here we join a ranger-guided walk among a rare colony of Australian sealions. The ranger will teach you all you need to know about these fascinating animals.

After a picnic lunch at Bales Beach we head to Kangaroo Island’s Little Sahara for some sandboarding fun on the dunes.

Later in the afternoon there is an opportunity to visit one of the Island’s local producers. Clifford’s Honey Farm is home to the purest strain of the Ligurian bee. Here you can buy fine honey and other products which is produced from the Island’s diverse flora. It is also home to Jenny Clifford’s famous honey ice-cream.

Last stop before leaving Kangaroo Island is a walk-up Prospect Hill to take in spectacular 360 views of beautiful Kangaroo Island.

We depart Penneshaw at 4.30pm and stop for a light pizza dinner at Normanville before arriving back in Adelaide at 7.30pm.
